This policy explains what VYSN Performance ("VYSN," "we," "us"), operated by VYSN Performance LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company, collects when you use the VYSN app, why, and what control you have over it. We've tried to write it the way we'd want to read it: plainly, and matching what the app actually does — not a generic template bolted onto a different product.

The short version: your training, nutrition, recovery, and sleep data lives on your device by default. If you connect an optional cloud account, it syncs to our database so it's available on other devices you sign into — nothing more. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we have no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in this app at all.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. If you create a cloud-connected account: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). If you use VYSN without a cloud account, your login is device-local only and never leaves your phone.

Training and health data you enter or generate in the app, including:

Apple Health data (only if you choose to connect it). If you tap "Connect" under Wearables & Health, VYSN reads resting heart rate, heart rate variability, steps, active energy, sleep, and workouts from Apple Health to power your in-app readiness score, dashboard stats, and training history. This connection is entirely optional, off by default, and you can disconnect at any time in iOS Settings or inside the app. If you've also created a cloud-connected account, these values sync to our database the same way the rest of your training data does (see "Where Your Data Lives" below) so they're available on other devices you sign into — they are not sent anywhere else, and nothing changes about who can access them.

Progress photos. Photos you capture for your Performance Timeline are stored on your device. If you sign in to a VYSN cloud account, a resized copy of each photo is also backed up to a private storage folder tied to your account, so it can be restored when you sign back in or use a new device. Only you can access that folder — photos are never shown to other users (including circle members), sold, or shared with advertisers. Deleting a photo, or deleting your account, removes the backed-up copy. If you don’t sign in to an account, your photos never leave your device.

Leaderboard data (only if you opt in). If you choose to join a circle or the public leaderboard, we share a small set of derived numbers — your streak, total volume, personal-record count, sessions this week, and (if you've logged qualifying runs) your fastest Mile/5K/10K pace — never your raw workout data, and never anything beyond what you've explicitly opted into.

Activity feed data (only if you opt in). If you turn on "Share My Activity," a short one-line summary of each completed session (for example, "Completed Push Day — 52 min") becomes visible to every training circle you're a member of, and other members can react with kudos. This is one setting covering all your circles, off by default, never shared publicly, and never includes exercise names, weights, or set-by-set detail — only the summary line. You can turn it off at any time. Separately, after finishing a workout you can tap "Share to The Order" to post that single session's summary line to your circles — nothing is shared unless you tap it.

Being found and invited (only if you opt in). If you turn on "Let People Find Me," your display name can be found by other signed-in users searching by the first letters of a name. They see only your name — not your email, stats, or anything else — and can invite you to a circle; nothing about you is shared with that circle unless you accept. If you decline an invitation, that person can’t re-invite you to the same circle. Turn it off at any time and you stop appearing in search.

Circle team plans (only inside circles you join). A circle’s owner can post a shared workout plan that every member of that circle can read. If you tap "Mark Done" on days of that plan, the circle’s owner (your coach) can see which days you’ve marked done — the app tells you this at the point you mark a day. Other members can’t see your check-offs. Removing the plan clears them.

Sign-in lock. If you turn on the optional Face ID / Touch ID lock, VYSN uses Apple’s on-device authentication to unlock the app. Your biometric data never reaches VYSN or our servers — iOS only tells the app whether you passed.

Payment information. Your VYSN subscription is purchased and billed through Apple (In-App Purchase); Apple handles your payment details and VYSN never sees them. If you buy anything from the VYSN store, that payment is processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. VYSN never receives, sees, or stores your card number — Stripe handles that under its own security standards (PCI-DSS Level 1).

2. What We Don't Collect

3. How We Use Your Information

DataUsed for
Training, nutrition, recovery, sleep dataPowering the app's own features: your programs, dashboard, readiness score, and history
Account emailAuthentication, and account-related communication (e.g. password reset)
Apple Health dataReadiness score and dashboard stats — only if you connect it
Leaderboard statsDisplaying your position on a circle or public board — only if you opt in
Activity feed summariesShowing a short session summary to your circles, and letting them react with kudos — only if you opt in
Display name (if you opt in to being found)Letting others search for and invite you to a circle
Team plan check-offsShowing you your own progress, and your circle’s coach who’s keeping up
Payment informationSubscription billing via Apple; store orders via Stripe — VYSN never stores it

4. Where Your Data Lives

By default, VYSN stores everything locally on your device. If you create a cloud account, your data additionally syncs to our database (hosted on Supabase, a SOC 2–compliant infrastructure provider), protected by row-level access controls so only your own account can ever read your own data — not other users, and not us, outside of what's necessary to operate the service.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only third parties your data ever touches are the infrastructure providers that make the app work — Supabase (database, authentication, and photo storage), Apple (subscription billing, and Apple Health only if you connect it), and Stripe (store payments) — each bound by their own security and privacy obligations, and each receiving only what's necessary to do their specific job.

6. Your Rights and Controls

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our servers; it is not archived or recoverable afterward.

8. Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to cloud-stored data is restricted by account-level access controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we've built VYSN to collect the minimum necessary and protect what it does collect.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
